Lead
I chose to earn my Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instructional leadership from Loyola Marymount University because I love the creative process and the challenge of communicating concepts and ideas. I hope through collaboration to help create an engaging, relevant, and fun way for teachers to address required standards. Teachers can feel burdened by change and I look forward to the challenge of inspiring educators to commit to and feel excited by trying new teaching philosophies and standards as well as helping to refine systems that are already in place. I want to aid in the effective execution of Next Generation Science Standards, Inquiry Design Model format, Cognitively Guided Instruction lessons as well as utilize technology in the classroom. My extensive experience in the arts and movement modalities influence my perspective as an educator and strengthen my ability to reach all learners. I will continue to be involved with a community of learners both at my school site and through Kappa Delta Pi: International Honor Society in Education. I love teaching, but I also love being a student. I hope to help my students love being who they are and learning too.
